Moving Data in OMERO

As a user, you can move your data from one group you are in, into another.

Right click onto the dataset or image you would like to move. The options Move to Group is available to users, while Change Owner is only an administrative privilege.

Please be careful that moving the data will remove copied images (such images are image links in OMERO and all links are severed while moving data)!

Only annotations by the owner of the images will be moved along with the images! Annotations by other users will not be included in the new group!

This is different from downgrading a group. If a group's permissions level is downgraded to Private or if the data is moved to a private group, as a private group does not allow annotations by users other than the group owner, the previous annotations by other members of the group will be lost.
